protect  your  investment

with our LIFETIME  GUARANTEE.
Your curbing has a LIFETIME warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.  This warranty covers cracking outside of control joints, separation of control joints more than 1”, and discoloration & fading of concrete. It will be replaced at no charge if the defect was caused by the materials we used or the way it was installed by our workman. To guarantee your coverage by our lifetime warranty, NDS pop-up drains are required for all gutter downspouts and the curbing must be resealed by our company at least once every other year using our UV protective acrylic concrete sealer. Cadre Curbing offers both of these services as well as a resealing package that can be purchased as a yearly maintenance contract. There is no warranty on pop-up drains. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the gutters. We cannot offer a warranty for curbing along driveways, sidewalks and mailboxes due to snow removal accidents. All warranty claims must provide a valid copy of the original purchase contract for full coverage.

Why is it important to reseal your edging?

  • Prevents pitting in concrete surface
  • Protects curbing from harmful UV sunrays
  • Keeps the product looking new each year
  • Prevents cracking over time
  • Stops any moss/mold/mildew on the surface

Our promise.

Your landscape curbing has a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.  It will be replaced at no charge if the defect is caused by the materials used or improper installation by our workmen. Our warranty does not cover damage as a result of tree roots, ground movement or soil settlement.  If curbs are against walkways or driveways there is no warranty on the curbing due to the inherent movement of walkways and driveways. To guarantee our decorative concrete curbing from harsh Rochester weather, it is required that you have your curbing resealed once every other year, and pop-ups installed where necessary.

Curbing Care Guide
PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.
  1. Keep pets, children, and objects away from the curb for at least 48 hours. It will be “hard” to the touch at this point but will still need several days to cure.
  2. Sod laying, Sprinkler work, and landscape work can be started 60 hours (3 full days) after installation. However, caution must be taken as shovels, picks, and wheelbarrows can damage the curb for several more days while it is fully curing.
  3. If you have a landscape contractor working for you, caution him about protecting the curb from damage. If you need to use a wheelbarrow within the first few weeks around the curb, lifting it over the curb is recommended as the wheelbarrow may cause damage to the curb it hit hard enough.
  4. During the first 2 weeks, do not weedwack up to the concrete face of the curb, we leave a small gap of dirt in front of the curb so you should not need to weedwack in front of the curb for the first few weeks until the grass grows back up to the face of the curb.
  5. NEVER ALLOW A TRACTOR OR A TRUCK TO EVER RUN OVER THE CURB FOR ANY REASON. DOING SO MAY RESULT IN CRACKING OF THE CURB DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEIGHT LOAD
  6. Make sure sprinkler systems do not come on for at least 48 hours after install. This also includes drip line that may also be used for irrigation. If you have any questions please contact Cadre Curbing, LLC.
  7. Also in the first 48 hours after installation do not allow pool backwash overflow, condensate lines, or excessive water to be turned on around the curb as it may affect the color of the curb or damage the integrity of the curb during curing.
  8. Efflorescense “white powdery substance”, can appear on occasion and does not look good on curbing. It is generated from water sprinkling systems and can also appear after a rainstorm. The intensity of efflorescences varies depending on the type (hardness) or water and the volume of water that gets on the curb. Check your sprinkler heads while the system if on and try to adjust them to minimize the amount of water spraying directly onto the curb. If you have just planted sod and are watering frequently efflorescences may appear more readily. Be patient, wait for lawn to get established, turn water off for a few days, and then clean the curb after it dries. A solution of 50/50 vinegar and water with a light brushing will remove the efflorescence. You may have to do this a few times. Eventually the efflorescences should go away.
  9. On occasion, curbing with color in it may look splotchy for a few days after the install, while it is curing. This will go away as it cures and is not to be confused with efflorescence. After 28 days your curbing will be fully cured and color splotches should have all evened out.
  10. If curbing is damaged by accident by the homeowner we will come back and make necessary repairs, however, there is a $400 minimal charge for this service. This can include damage made after the installers leave by a pet or a child stepping into a curb and damaging it while it is curing. If we can get there in time (usually only a few hours after install) we can fix it with minimal effort;  BUT if the curb is already cured too much we may have to cut out a section and completely reinstall it, this is why caution should be taken for the first 48 hours after installation.
  11. Cracking- Concrete Curbing like any other type of concrete, can and will crack. We experience very little cracking in our products. However, if it should crack we will replace it at no charge during the warranty period. A warning, however, is important to note: Repairs can be difficult to make in colored concrete. It is impossible to get an identical color match. Sometimes the “cure is worse that the ill”. A hairline crack is much less noticeable than a patch or a discoloration in the curbing.
  12. When curbing is installed as a retrofit “grass already in place”, there will be a small amount of concrete on the ground between the new curb and the grass. It is very difficult to remove this concrete while it is still wet. After a 48 hour curing period, it can be picked up in small piece and thrown away. Since we have not included a return trip in the price of our curbing to do this, we ask that you take a few minutes to remove the excess concrete, if any at all. This will allow your grass to grow back against the curb within a few weeks. You may want to place sand/dirt in this area as well, if there are voids between the grass and the curb.
  13. Damage to sprinkler lines, telephone wires, cable tv, Invisible pet fences, or other buried items by our equipment or personnel is not our responsibility. Specific requests from our customers such as, but not limited to, distance of curbing for lawnmowers, specific shapes of the curb, and other concerns that are not obvious to the installers must be stated in writing on the front of the contract.
  14. It is VERY IMPORTANT to reseal your curbing every year to protect the concrete from weathering, discoloration, and fading. Unsealed curbing will appear very light in color and can become pitted and more fragile to the freeze/thaw cycles.
  15. Cadre Curbing LLC reserves the right to use photographs of their work for advertising needs, referrals and other marketing materials deemed necessary for the growth of the company. –Our machines are not meant to create straight lines and we cannot guarantee that straight curbing will be perfectly straight; there will be an additional charge to make straight lines.
